Small Talk Six:6 things you think the father of your children deserve to have

Today I am chatting it up with the momdot.com ladies.Here are 6 things I think that the father of my kids should have:

1. A really cool car: Right now he drives the junkidy junk car just so that the kids and I get to drive around and be comfortable in our nicer one.

2. More Sleep: I admit I am guilty of bringing the screaming baby around him in the wee hours in the morning when he is profoundly asleep and has just got home from work like 2 hours ago.

3. A great European vacation: well that is what he would LOVE.

4. More free time to have fun with the girls.

5. A vacation with jus the boys..yeah, yeah I know that is asking for it.

6. A big BBQ bash: He loves to have people over our house just having fun, eating and drinking..PARTY!

Daddy's Girl

Father's day is fast approaching and I could not think of a better way to showcase that growing bond between my girls and their dad.
I am not surprised at my five year olds attachment to her dad and the way she looks at him with those googoo eyes of hers, but lately I have noticed that my 9 month old has this light in her eyes whenever she catches a glimpse of her all mighty papa.
I am very much on the lookout for those moments of silence filled with words of love just by one look from a daughter to a father; since I did not get to experience this with my own dad, having lost him at such a young age, I am in a sense living it through my girls.

I remember the day that I came back with you from the hospital, I was all the while thinking that this little one does not know what she has stepped into.. back then it was just you and me; between welcoming your little sister into our family last September and proclaiming 'mom there is a difference between a baby and a kid and I am not a baby!' I can say that we have come a long way from then, you have taught me so much. I can promise you that I will be there for the rest of our walk together, I will be your shoulder to lean on when you need a friend, I will be your cheerleader when you need support, I will be your teacher when you need to learn.

I guess I need my schedule too..

It's been exactly 5 days ( Uhm maybe 10 days.. ) that we have moved into our new house , I still feel totally off..

I just realized that not just the kids need to follow a schedule, moms and dads also need to know what comes next.. I need my routine back now! or at least I need to create a new one. Between the unopened boxes, the half opened boxes and everything else that needs to be done in order for this house to actually become a home, it has been hard for me to even remember what day it is..

Well living outside of the city has its ups.. I just saw a beaver in my yard!



this isn't the beaver's actual picture since I could not find my camera anywhere.

Its Music Monday and I am back on my groove...

This song actully reminds me of Haiti, although it was shot HERE in Montreal.. weird..
