We put her mattress in our room, she falls asleep and we put her in her own room. She has nights where she'll sleep in her room all night, but still has yet to fall asleep in there. I really hope she grows out of this fast, as she will be 4 in April. I agree with the make a big fuss over a big kid bed though and try to make it as attractive of an option as possible, but be prepared for tears and don't give in. Then, we bought him a new "big boy bed" and made a big fuss about it, so he was really excited and eager to sleep in it.
